Blogging Phenomenon
From my experience on the Web, and visiting major Websites I see that the spread of bloggers is increasing day by day to a degree that it has becom a phenomenon in the Internet space. Some major business firms’ Websites incorporate such a great service, and the prupose is to let people chat and express their own perspective & opinions on the Web. I’ve seen giant media Websites including such a great service and making it readily used by their site visitors and Internet users. A company like BBC is having a Blogger in its Website.
And when it comes to the Arab world, the most well-known media corporation is Al-Jazeera
which is the most popular news media network and tv station. The Website of Al-Jazeera is also incorporating a blogger which allows its visitors to write and participate on arguable issues regarding the Arab’s political, social, and economic issues and problems. I just found the link on their Website named as “Arabic Blogs”, and once I entered I found a host of topics which you can read, comment about and discuss with other people in the Blog. Al-Jazeera says on that page that “Blogs revolution has allowed so many socioeconomic classes in the Arab world to using easily those blogs and possessing a great space for free speech”. And this is very correct, because Arabic people usually suffer from restrictions on their political talk, and freedom of speech is known to be the most limited over here in the Arab world.
